About the role
Reporting to the Senior FSQ & Regulatory Affairs Manager (SEA/Indian subcontinent), the FSQ Manager TPM and Vendor is responsible for ensuring food safety and quality (FSQ) assurance for all products and operations across SEA/Indian subcontinent, including those produced by Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs) and vendors.
You will support market access, product integrity, and brand protection by monitoring legislative developments, overseeing FSQ systems and standards, and ensuring TPMs/vendors meet Fonterra’s FSQ requirements. You will also act as a key contact for authorities, foodservice customers, TPMs, and vendors and support implementation of regional FSQ frameworks across internal and external manufacturing and supply partners.
Key Accountabilities
FSQ Oversight for TPMs and Vendors:
- Implement and maintain FSQ systems and standards for TPMs and vendors, ensuring compliance with Fonterra’s requirements and local regulations.
- Oversee approval, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring, including audits, risk assessments, and management of non-conformances.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary FSQ contact for TPMs and vendors, provide technical support and guidance, and represent the organisation in regulatory and industry forums.
Vendor and TPM Audit Management:
- Lead/support FSQ audits, coordinate schedules, ensure timely close-out of non-conformances, and maintain the Approved Vendor Database.
- Incident Management:
- Support incident management and product recall processes, including mock recall exercises and post-mortem reviews.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of FSQ audits and compliance documentation. Prepare reports and dashboards on FSQ performance metrics. Support audits and inspections.
- Capability Building & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement FSQ process improvements, contribute to best practices and capability building, provide training and guidance to in-market teams, and support regional initiatives and tools.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Technology, or related discipline.
- 5–8 years in food safety and quality roles, preferably in FMCG or dairy.
- Strong knowledge of in-market food regulations and international FSQ standards (e.g. Codex, HACCP, ISO).
- Experience with FSQ systems, audit management, complaint handling, vendor assurance programmes, risk-based audit methodologies, and regulatory requirements for third-party manufacturing.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
