About the opportunity

We are looking for a Relief Milker to assist our team at Awaroa on a fixed-term basis till the end of April next year with the possibility that ongoing relief milking and other farm duties can be offered to the right person.

You will report to the Farm Manager and training and ongoing support will be provided by experienced staff already on the farm.  


Your key duties will include:

  • Relief milking 
  • Cleaning and sanitising calf feeding equipment 
  • Maintaining clean and hygienic calf pens 
  • General farm duties (for the right person)

About you

We are looking for a motivated individual who has a strong interest in an ongoing career in dairy farming. You will have previous milking experience which is essential and a genuine passion for animals


Hours of work

You will be working on a rotating shift basis (weekend work included) where your hours per day is 5:30am to 8am and then 2:30pm to 5pm. Note that there may be more hours of work during summer.
