He kupu mō mātou | About us
Servicing the Bay of Plenty, our Edgecumbe site has been manufacturing dairy products since 1923. The site produces pastry sheet butter, prepared edible fats, anhydrous milk fat, casein & caseinates, whey protein concentrate, milk minerals and probiotics. Edgecumbe is the only site in NZ that produces calcium Caseinate.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
We currently have permanent opportunities for a L4 Process Operator to join our high-performing team at the Edgecumbe Cream plant.
Your self-motivation, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot will contribute to the high precision and stable running of our plant.
Working on a rostered shift pattern of four on and four off (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights), this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and be part of a highly motivated and supportive team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, checking, and running automated production machinery
  • Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world-class standards
  • Running machine diagnostics and problem solving
  • Ensuring documentation is correct and complete
Mōu | About You
Whilst a passion for operation of a food processing plant is a pivotal aspect of this role, we are also looking for:
  • Experience resolving plant breakdowns and maintenance issues
  • Ability to support Team Leaders with volume and silo management, as well as breakdown resolution and off-season maintenance support
  • Proactive around Health and Safety management
  • Sound planning and problem-solving ability
  • A real attention to detail and commitment to maintaining required records to an auditable standard
