·         Accelerate your career in this pivotal position at the Waimate store in Canterbury

·         Responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly

·         Ensure the delivery of inspiring leadership, excellent customer experiences and strong financial results.

 Role Purpose

This is a fixed term 12mth contract. Taking the reins for the Waimate store, you’ll engage your flair for leadership as you continue the development of strong and profitable relationships within the close-knit rural community as well as driving staff and store performance.

Leading from the front with a great team alongside, you’ll work hand in hand with your team to ensure we deliver the best service around for our customers and capitalise on opportunities.

From managing store operations, keeping on top of inventory, prioritising Health & Safety and owning the store P&L, you’ll certainly be kept busy! But the proof will be in the pudding as you ensure the ongoing success of our store and our people.

What you’ll bring

We’re on the lookout for a natural leader with a streak of competitive spirit and knack for engaging people. The agricultural industry will be your passion and building relationships with customers will be second nature to you.

Ideally you will have a retail background in a relevant industry and have prior experience in coaching and motivating a team, this will be key in your success. You will have experience with Farm Source Systems and processes including the farming database.

Other things we’re looking for include:

·         Sound knowledge and understanding of the dairy/ agricultural industry

·         Strong attention to detail and excellent organization

·         People management experience

·         A head for business and goal-oriented personality
